4、首絕句描狀桂花，那珊珊而落的桂花，本潔如玉，映于月光更顯晶瑩，拾起花猶帶露更覺滋潤，想來當是嫦娥撒于人間。全詩以中秋一事出中秋佳節玩月之全情，有以小見大之妙。綜合此詩，神話傳說中吳剛學仙有過，遭天帝懲罰到月宮砍伐桂樹，其樹隨砍隨合，所以必須不斷砍伐，卻始終砍不倒這棵樹。但此詩并不如其它描寫中秋詩作一般凄涼，凋零，或是額悵、哀綿，全詩給人的感覺是輕松自在，毫無憂愁的。雖只描寫了一幅“夜賞月桂圖”，卻讓讀者得知民俗——中秋必看月賞桂。內容是詩人的聯想，卻不讓人覺得有空虛之意。巧妙的聯想反而為“寂靜”的詩作平添了幾分“俏皮”。不禁讓人對古人的中秋佳節浮想聯翩。

5、相傳古代齊國丑女無鹽，幼年時曾虔誠拜月，長大后，以超群品德入宮，但未被寵幸。某年八月十五賞月，天子在月光下見到她，覺得她美麗出眾，后立她為皇后，中秋拜月由此而來。月中嫦娥，以美貌著稱，故少女拜月，愿“貌似嫦娥，面如皓月”。

12、米芾(1051--1107)，字元璋，襄陽人。官至禮部員外郎。能為詩文，尤長于翰墨，書法為宋代大家。這首詩引用了兩個民間傳說，一是民間傳說珍珠的育成與月的盈虧有關，月圓之時蚌則孕珠;二是民間傳說月由七寶合成，人間常有八萬二千戶給它修治。這樣借傳說詠月，又為中秋之月增添了神話的色彩，使中秋之月更為迷人。
